Zephyrus Duo 16 gx650pz issue #2443

What's wrong?

Found strange issue, when I change GPU mode between "Standard" and "Ultimate" and going to restart, touch screen doesnt work on second screen (screenpad+) and I have a popup message in windows notification area "please restart computer to finishing install new hardware - hid-touch screen...". So I need to restart twice when changing GPU mode. When changing back it happens again. I tried install Armoury Crate to check and there is no this issue when I changing GPU mode in Armoury. Maybe this issue can be happen by screen refresh settings in G-helper, I don't know. I checked on clean installed system.

How to reproduce the bug?

  1. Change GPU mode from "Standard" to "Ultimate" or from "Ultimate" to "Standard".
  2. Restart laptop.
  3. Screenpad touch screan does not work properly. It is duplicate "clicks" on main screen.

@chockokruasan hello,

G-Helper can only (optionally) set screenpad brightness if you press corresponding hotkeys, it doesn't interact or process touchscreen anyhow, it's handled by windows.

You may want to update / install all latest drivers from Asus, including Asus Touchpad driver and their Hotplug Controller (check this topic for more info https://github.com/seerge/g-helper/discussions/1592#discussioncomment-8343601)

This is purely windows and it's driver's issue / behavior and has nothing to do with G-Helper.

There is nothing app can do here.
