I know that I can, but it seemed like many of the libraries / packages were gone in Gnome 1.4 sources and I was curious why @seeseemelk chose to work with 1.0 instead.
Hello. Firstly, I do know that this is not something that will fit in Issues but I did not find a place more applicable for this so I'm just writing here. I recently got interested in early GNOME 1.x and found this project. However, while the latest release of the GNOME 1.x series is 1.4, this repository is 1.0, and from my old experience, 1.0 was very unstable, even on the supported systems back in the days. As there are not much GUI changes from 1.0 to 1.4, I thought it would be better to get GNOME 1.4 working, but is there a reason why you chose 1.0 to work with? Also, I'm curious if I can update to 1.4 if I install this 1.0 release and 1.4 gets developed later, but I believe that this is probably possible since that's how things worked 20 years ago too.. Thanks for reading.
