Dense (more compact but with more info) layout option? #1018

It would be handy if the bitrate for each station was displayed, maybe on the level of the descrition tags?

Also, for the playing track, without having to 'open' it.

Edit: and the codec also?

werman commented 3 years ago

Bitrate is displayed right next to a flag, unless you use compact mode. Station is played by just clicking on it.

mxmilkiib commented 3 years ago

Aah yes, you are correct, I am already using the compact mode.

Possibly then a 'compact but dense' option might be possible? Seeing as much info and stations on screen would be appreciated.

Sorry, I cannot see any bitrate information shown close to flag. I use the master branch version. Please let me know, where the bitrate is shown.

No bitrates…

@Wikinaut I think that radiobrowser database just doesn't have the bitrates of these station.

I don't know for RadioDroid shows bitrates when in non-compact mode.

Showing the bitrates in compact mode would ultimately be a separate FR though.

I just think there is room for optimisation of layout in the app, there's a lot of space wasted imho, though any new layout change would have to be separate from the existing 'compact'. I could do mock-ups if that would help?
