Favorites Organization #978

More so a feature idea (please don't grill me if this is not the usual avenue for things like that):

It would be most excellent to be able to create folders/labels as a means to organize/display our faves.

Example:

ROCK (user created LABEL with sub stations within/displayed once clicked)

RAP (user created LABEL with sub stations within/displayed once clicked)

....Etc etc.....

Would be nice to be able to sort each level (including root/) by name/date created/whatever and each level and label remembers its unique chosen sort method.

I am not trying to demand or even expect anything by posting this, I am eternally grateful for all the features RadioDroid already posseses (thanks to its awesome devs). You guys are awesome and I look forward to whatever does come down the pipe or not. :)

It's ok to suggest the features here.

Better organization of favourites would be indeed a great thing. However, I don't think it would be implemented any time soon. I don't see anyone who works on major features for RadioDroid at the moment. And I don't currently have the time/will to do it,

The current priority, at least for me, would be to stabilize existing features because some of them aren't in a great state.

That does make more sense for sure. Maybe I'll take some coding lessons and start contributing. Ever since visual basic in high school I've just never looked forward to mashing out lines of code. It's a shame too because I recognize how high the demand is for custom programming on the front end and back end and I know the money I could be making with it. Anyways, thanks for letting me know and thank you for your work on the project!

Sorry, missed that one due to the substitution favoring "bookmark" instead of "favorites". Favorites is the terminology up in this b***h. :)

BTW, the picture you painted for implementation is most choice. Party on Garth.

I am realy excited about how complete this app is is for anything I could want of an app like this. My "problem" is that although I like the large icons grid for my favorites list, there are no labels, and some stations don't have icons so I can't tell them apart. So labeling this function, maybe along with ability to modify station's labels and icons would be nice. Ofcourse the folder organisation is one step forward and would be very usefull, but I am covered since I can arrange the stations' order. In general some work on favorites ui could make sense since it is a user's main function I guess. Also maybe some follow system theme feature, would be nice. Other than that I really can't think of anything else for this app to be perfect. The main reason though I make this post is to express my gratitude and excitement. Thanks!

Maybe we should display label when there is no picture. At least it would be the easiest solution...
