Error adding station to Community Radio Browser list #152

I've tried to add a station called Doowop Cafe twice. Each time, it comes up as having broken streaminfo. The stream is: http://player.streamlicensing.com/2308?l&stream_id=3928

The webpage is doowopcafe.org.

I sent an email to Alex but did not receive a response.

This is a very good non-commercial station that I would like to add to RadioDroid 2. What to do to get the station added?

I keep trying to add this station and it keeps crapping out! Does anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong with the stream? I know it works for me, works in other radio players like AUDIALS, RADIO NET, TuneIn, etc.

Doesn't look like this list gets any attention at all! Do I need to get someone to translate my posts to German?

Actually, the site is identifying some stations as broken - when they are not.

The creator is committed to creating a tool to bypass the vandalism that occurred 1 year ago... Then he alone is responsible for fixing the seasons.

There is another post where the staff is offering to help... But the @segler-alex has to start answering the guys and thinking about releasing a private access platform.

Working alone, this project will die.

I am more than willing to donate to this project BUT I need to get a response to email and/or posts here. And that is not happening, which is disappointing.

I'm unfamiliar with the new rust BE system, but I've rewrote the frontend in #150 that i'd love to see move forward too. I would be interested in working on the backend issues provided I knew my code would be used

I've poked around at the backend's issue with incorrectly identifying broken streams, but I haven't been able to track down what's causing it in detail.

I looked through the FAQ at http://www.radio-browser.info/gui/#!/faq and it looks like there are currently 3 possible reasons as to why a station would be marked broken. If Alex wants people to be able to help fix these stations, then he needs to add an error code telling us which of these problems occurred, causing the station to be marked broken.

I just keep adding the station every 2-3 days until this gets fixed.

Some kind of basic authorization system with a deletion override would be perfect. I could build the frontend system if a backend was in place

But, thinking about it, the reason he probably hasnt done any kind of authorization is because the database is backed up and freely accessible for download. Bit of a security issue. He'd have to have a completely separate non-opensource database that stays on the server.

This has become my favorite repo on GitHub. I check my emails daily for new conversations. I'm excited for this train to keep rolling. I'd devote any time and money into it that's needed. It's a really unique idea and I'm very happy it's open source and I hope it can remain that way.

Any update on fixing this problem so I can get this Doowop Cafe station added? It really sucks having to switch to Audials or TuneIn when I want to listen to this station!

I noticed that the tags are missing for the Doowop Cafe radio site. There does not appear to be any way to add them myself, so could someone help with this task so that others may have an easier time finding the station?

The tags should be: Group harmony, Oldies, Oldies 50's/60's, Accapella, R&B, Doo wop, Doowop

I added that station, and the issue can be closed.

The station no longer works and is back to being listed as broken again!

Why can't this problem be permanently fixed? Is it the RD technology that is deficient?

The station can now be accessed on RD but when I try to play it, I get an error message stating "Could not connect to station".
