Ensure current newsletter subscription tracking works with popular Third Party™ extensions (Mailchimp, etc.)

Checked out MailChimp's extension, and they don't use any custom events so our integration works out of the box with them. Need to check

I've look at 5 of these extensions, and they all appear to use Magento's standard subscription object for creating users, so we should be set here.

One question though, these extensions/service also have the ability to bulk import/synx users to and from the server. Is this something we want to somehow signal to segment? It seems like it'd be a nice to have, but tracking through how each extension does a bulk import seems time consuming. I'm going to table it as a nice to have/feature request, but wanted to flag it in case it's important strategically.
