Heads up @astorm adding a build script for packaging up the .tgz for Magento Connect. Using your MagentoTarToConnect script, which was really awesome and installed almost completely problem-free, so thanks for the tip there!
Might add a deploy script next so we don't have to log into Magento Connect's web interface all the time to upload distributions, but we can see how that goes.
