unsubscribing from individual topics - confluent library limitation or Kafka API limitation #1294

I filed this ticket in the confluent library- https://github.com/confluentinc/confluent-kafka-go/issues/1193

is this a limitation of the Confluent SDK or with the Kafka API..or? need insight ty ty
