AU plugin in realtime control modes crashes program (A+2.01) #100

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open AU plugin in realtime control mode, I use fabfilter proQ
2. Play music, shortly after plugin and A+ screens start to freeze up/become 
non-responsive
3. On one occurrence mac froze up, had to reboot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
