Compile Errors with Vala 0.13

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install current Vala (http://download.gnome.org/sources/vala/0.13/)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No Errors

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
7/12/11 - git aee1d171748467015f1b8bb217b94592130d3282
ArchLinux + Gnome 3

Please provide any additional information below.
Unfortunately, I did not keep the error output.  but I did make a diff once I 
got the code to compile (attached).  If you need me to duplicate the errors I 
can.

Vala toys is still targetting vala 0.12.1 compiler.
