compile error: vsc library dependencies #70

I'm trying to compile vtg-0.4.1:
./configure
...
...
checking for GENPROJECT... yes
checking for VSC... no
configure: error: *** vsc library dependencies

I don't understand which library is missing; I'm on ubuntu 9.04.

Patch includes notification for missing gio, and summary message indicating all
required libraries.
