Kristine has a friend Shaun who is a wedding singer, flower provider, and other stuff. He has been involved with a lot of weddings and this is what he had to say about the application:
It would be really awesome if the application integrated with the calendar and set an alarm both to buy a gift, and to RSVP to the wedding. The RSVP would be 3 or 4 weeks before the wedding The gift alarm would go off 1 – 2 weeks before the wedding
It would be awesome if there was a “what to wear” button. Some weddings have a theme you know like a Star Wars theme or an Angry Birds theme it's important to know these things before you show up. No seriously if it was a winter wedding the bride might ask everyone to wear white. Kristine remembers a situation where she went to a wedding where the bride asked everyone to wear white or crème as it was a “beach theme”
The “what to wear” button could also provide information on the color scheme for the wedding. It would be if the wedding was a purple scheme and you show up wearing a brown someone might be hella embarassed.
The “our story” button should provide a way for the couple to put in a video “the message from the bride and groom” and have that link to youtube or whatever.
It would be nice if there was a “WHAT TO DO” button because if the wedding was in NAPA or some other area that was picturesque after the wedding you might want to take a tour, or go on the wine train.
Some times you have people coming from out of town and it might be nice if the wedding party gets a “wedding rate” at a hotel local to the venue so that they would have somewhere to stay. This could possibly go into the Shop Local or have a new button on “where to stay”
The application is nice, but it doesn't really seem to support “DESTINATION WEDDINGS” as an example I found online: http://janetteandsantino.nearlyweds.com/sites/index/158205?
With regard to a destination wedding:
