State of this project in 2019 #9

Hi, thanks for providing this project. I'm having some issues to run this in EKS with Kubernetes 1.12. (fluentd-es Pods crash multiple times before running stable, and even keep crashing infinitely in one of our clusters.)

I'm wondering if it's worth investigating this, since this repo is quite old. Do you have plans to sync this project with the latest version from upstream? Or would you recommend to get started based on a different project?

The other project worked fine for me: https://github.com/fluent/fluentd-kubernetes-daemonset/pull/316 It also seems to be actively maintained.
