[BUG] Cannot change root password

Describe the bug:

Unable to change root password after fresh installation. Although passwords are strong, it keeps asking for a "good" password.

Expected behavior:

Submitting the new root password.

Are you using password manager or have you pasted the password instead of typing? Because there was such an issue in the past.

Indeed I use a password manager and pasted it. Just found the issue you mentioned. I see the commit closing that issue but it seems the bug still exists.

Did I miss anything?
