I'm the lead dev of Snuffleupagus a security module for PHP7+, in the exact same spirit than Suhosin. The project was started two years ago, was made public (under the LGPL license) in September 2017, and we spent some time presenting it at various conferences. It currently supports all PHP7+ versions, has a massive testsuite, is a non-strict super-set of Suhosin's features, and gives credit where it's due both in its code and documentation (suhosin is mentioned 13 times).
Since Suhosin7 isn't actively developed anymore, and only support 7.0 and 7.1 (that aren't actively supported anymore, how do you feel about putting a link to Snuffleupagus' repo in suhosin7's readme?
