@Ryuno-Ki Thanks for submitting another issue, especially after I was so slow to respond last time. 😅 I fully support this issue!
1️⃣ Words to add remove: Immediate additions are "bizarre, odd, peculiar, intense, weird" and "intensity, peculiarity, oddness," respectively. Getting a starting list helps other folks chime in with further examples/more nuance. 2️⃣ Source: We can add it to the "Further Reading" section and in-text add citations, similar to how we've handled it here: ADD/ADHD.
If you're able/willing to submit a PR, I'd be happy to review!
I'm away this weekend, but will try to set aside some time next week. If someone has time earlier, please go ahead and fill a PR. No hard feelings from my end.
I'm too tired to come up with something that rolls on the tongue, but I got started with #434.
Hey there,
recently, I observed that my environment is using the word „insane“ quite often.
Calling that out as ableist does not help them much, because they ask for alternative words.
Recently I ran into https://therollingexplorer.com/ableist-language-to-avoid-and-acceptable-alternatives-insane-edition/ and would propose to evaluate the alternatives suggested there:
I am not sure how to credit the source properly. Are there words you would like to add or remove?
I'm willing to create a PR once those questions are answered.
