Suggestion: "orphan" (used out of context of its original meaning) #439

Orphan is often used to indicate a word or element that is on its own or abandoned, which can be harmful and exclusionary to people who were orphaned.

Alternatives that could be more specific are:

non-aligned
independent
satellite
disconnected
