I think it would be nicer if I can install the theme by doing M-x list-packages (Emacs 24). Please put it in marmalade-repo.org. Thanks in advance.

TIL that color-theme-sanityinc-solarized-2.2 is compatible with emacs 24 so you can load it with M-x load-theme. https://github.com/purcell/color-theme-sanityinc-solarized
