[bug] ignores pkgRoot when used with semantic-release-monorepo #511

we confirm that the latest version of this package has a regression issue that makes it ignores the option pkgRoot when used with semantic-release-monorepo plugin

the original issue description provides a minimal reproduction

Not sure if related, but I'm having the same issue using multi-semantic-release with version 9+.
Tried downgrading to v8, as suggested in the linked issue, and seems to work correctly.
