Persistent history entries are annoying. This Chrome extension limits history entries to a user-adjustable value.

Chrome limit history lifetime seems to prevent contextual menu #1

Hi, first thanks for this useful tool.

I've noticed that recently (maybe it is because my expiration start to be reached) when I use a contextual menu in chrome, to correct spelling, to select and copy favorite in my personal bar sub-menu, very often the menu close before I can select the good item.

when I disable "Chrome limit history lifetime" extension, it works as before...

no idea what it is... maybe when the extension clean the history, does it cause some update which make contextual menu close...

best regards.

Huh, wow. That's real strange if true. I'll try to take a look. What version of Chrome are you running & OS? (M44 / Stable?)

AlainCo commented 9 years ago

I use latest Chrome stable, and chrome portable stable(44.0.2403.157)

note that the problem seems not to happen everytime. maybe it is an interaction between this extension activity (state of the history, duration), and others extensions...

maybe is it also a problem with chrome... I'll try to identify what is the cause, but it is still unclear. disabling this extension worked yesterday, but today activating it is no problem...

maybe other users can help to identify the cause?

one idea (option?) could be to restrict cleaning to period when is boots up. maybe others extension follow the history and react
