Suggestion:
break up the expression manipulation steps with natural language descriptions inbetween, which also lengthens the whole paper.
The most popular length for AISTATS 2022 theoretical papers (filtered out by blacklisting the word "experiment") was 20 pages, with two columns in main text but single column in appendix. So the optimal length ran quite similar to the 30 pages in COLT.
