Wall insulation #11

Add insulation to all 4 wall. And cover with plastic sheathing to keep it air tight.

Remaining actions, instead of working in steps, we'll work agilely.

add a 50mm panel
add a 30mm panel
once a single wall section is complete cover with plastic sheathing

[x] complete front wall big pieces insulation
[x] complete right wall big pieces insulation
[x] complete left wall big pieces insulation
[x] complete back wall big pieces insulation
[x] fill in the gaps with the smaller leftover pieces
[x] buy 50mm and 30mm insulation panels, as much as available
[ ] caulk the gaps in floor panels
[ ] lay plastic sheathing

We'll continue to run the heater in the afternoons till tuesday evening, when we will return it to Sam. We can then start doing the caulking on Wednesday.

Today's progress

Added 3 sheets of insulation. 2 to the right wall, 1 to the back wall from the right. The right most section of the back wall could probably be covered using offcuts. By my estimates, I have just enough foam boards to cover all the walls.

The plan is to fill up as much space as possible using whole, vertical pieces before having to use off cuts or slice them horizontally. We'll go buy more boards tonight. 50mm and 30mm.

Bought 6 sheets of 50mm and 14 sheets of 30mm.

Grocery list

[x] buy 2 pieces of 2x6
[x] buy 10 panels of 50mm foam for the floor
[x] buy 1 or 2 bags of 180mm screws

Today's progress

filled in the big pieces for the right wall and rear wall
- rear wall needs 1 more piece
filled in the top parts for the right, front right and rear right walls
filled in the section under the entrance

Tomorrow's tasks

fill in 30mm pieces for currently filled in section
fill in remaining big pieces once we have space to manoeuvre
- rear wall 1 piece
- left wall
top off those with the 30mm pieces
caulk the floor
do the floor foam pieces
cover the floor with plastic
cover bottom half of walls with plastic
do the floor framing
do the floor panels
do the upper bits if we have time
