Next Actions

[x] mow the overgrown grass
- there's quite a lot and we'll need to separate it into multiple sessions.
- depending on the weather, this is either a Sat or Sun job
[x] disassemble previous front deck
- hope to disassemble this during down time (rain, charging batteries, etc)
[x] build scaffolding

Previously

We need to build some scaffolding around the foundations.

I have pictures somewhere, probably on Sanakan. Upload those pictures.

[x] upload scaffolding reference pictures
[x] measure the area
- ok, I didn't actually measure anything. I stood on where the shed floor was and looked around to see where the land sloped away to be sure my supports wouldn't be hanging in the air. LGTM! 👍
[x] figure out how it will be assembled
- i have a rough draft, but I'd like to make some changes
[x] get materials
- [x] base stones
- [x] timber
[ ] ~build bracing around pier~

Preliminary plans. Now that I've had a chance to look at the above pictures, I want to make some change to the supports

There's a high point for the scaffolding, because the shed is going to be 2200 on the short side and 2700 on the tall side. I'll probably need a 2nd level for the tall side. Luckily, that's on the side where the deck is, so maybe I could add the 2nd layer AFTER we're done with the bottom half of the shed.

A little bit more mowing is required for the area around the floating pier. Once that is that and we have a clearer picture of what it looks like, we can begin building the bracing.

Final plans for scaffolding. May start building this weekend as the rain has let up.

Was planning to build the scaffold today but I'm too really, really tired and there's still a lot of other tasks to do. I have to finish up Chubic as well as prepare for my Tokyo trip. I'll work on this when I get back.

It's been a while since we're visited this project. I'm finally back from Tokyo, worked has toned down a little and there's a 3 day weekend coming up so I'm planning on getting back and completing this this weekend.
