Shortcuts in Terminal-Emulator #119

Closed cgitr closed 12 years ago

Recently I used the terminal emulator in emacs, but I was not able to move to a different window. I had to use the mouse to switch.

The terminal bundle is quite buggy at the moment. I tried to change the user interaction concept but it did not turn out well.

The terminal resets all bindings and the bundle tries to reset them, so the applied bindings are ergonomic bindings but re-defined in the terminal bundle - I assume that you are not using the ergonomic bundle?

The bindings for moving between windows are C-w, C-a, C-s, C-d and M-s. Those bindings conflict with default terminal bindings and override them.

I think the concept of the terminal bundle is wrong and not very usable. You should either use the default emacs terminal (without loading the terminal bundle) or use a better terminal, I think.

Won't fix, terminal bundle will be removed.
