I know that emacs-eclim needs further setup outside the scope of Emacs. I think it would be a huge benefit to make e-max or emacs-eclim aware if that setup has been executed correctly. If not and the java-bundle is loaded. e-max should automatically open a "setup eclim" buffer where you see the required steps to get eclim working or how to turn off eclim-support from the java bundle.
I think it would be amazing to have a "out-of-the-box" Emacs installer which supports Java.
