I am not inclined to add another layer of user management on top of the
existing model. If you can explain how this functionality would be used, I may
be able to assist with a solution that takes advantage of the existing
WordPress user management architecture.

Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer.
The website i am creating is going to be used by doctors, who are going to be
registered as "subscribers" in the website.
I would like to use your calendar as a duty planner for the doctors. When they
are logged, they can see when they are on watch.
Because there are around 400 doctors split in 24 groups (each group corresponds
to a city around Charleroi in Belgium), I need to add 2 new fields in the
calendar formula.
First, a field that select the group and second one of the doctors (who belongs
to that group) who will be on duty.
Do you think it is possible to do that? To make a connection with the users
registred in wordpress?

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you want to allow users to filter
both by city and by doctor name. Currently, the calendar can only accommodate
half that request; you can create categories for each city, but you cannot
further categorize events by doctor name.
As for the user registration, the FAQ describes how you can setup user accounts
to give them access to input their own events.
If more people express interest in this feature I may consider adding it to the
queue, but for now I can't provide any idea of when that might be.
Thanks for your feedback.

The scope of this request is beyond the intended functionality of this product
and therefore is being eliminated from consideration.
