3 implement mood protocol from app flat #4

Realized that having nested activities for sub-components of the version of the app is not necessary, and may be causing issues with the ReproSchema UI (i.e. Deeply nested activities don't render properly despite there being no other errors.). This branch aims to avoid deeply nested activities.
