I believe that incorporating GFPGAN v3 instead of GPEN can give significant image quality improvement

Yes , I am not sure how it will affect performance but the results of GFPGAN version 3 compare to GPEN are much more smooth and realistic looking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v71-58xvpWY
