Added some error messages that are helpful when you are setting this up.

Thanks for the contribution! Can you check the rubocop issues in Travis, https://travis-ci.org/sensu-plugins/sensu-plugins-jenkins/builds/95611351. Can you also add an entry to the CHANGELOG in the unreleased section.
