User Story:
As a Sensu operator,
I want a dynamic URL generation mechanism that can be used in the labels of checks so that I can have unique URLs for each VM in the Grafana dashboard.
I aim to streamline my observability workflow, ensuring a seamless transition between Sensu and Grafana for individual VMs, providing a consolidated view of all Sensu checks and their states.
I seek the benefits of improved observability, with a one-click access to Grafana dashboards for individual VMs, presenting a consolidated view of all Sensu checks and their states.
Background:
As a Sensu user, navigating through Grafana dashboards poses challenges. The current setup lacks a dynamic URL mechanism, resulting in a static link for each VM, regardless of changes in the Grafana dashboard. This limitation impacts the efficiency of my observability practices.
Proposed Solution:
To address this, I propose the implementation of a dynamic URL generation feature in Sensu checks' labels. This enhancement will ensure that each VM has its unique URL, dynamically updated as the set of VMs changes in the Grafana dashboard. The goal is to facilitate easy navigation from Sensu to Grafana with a simple click on the generated URL, providing an instant and comprehensive view of all Sensu checks for the specific VM.
