Noting that I've gone ahead and upgraded my pull request, https://github.com/sensu/sensu-omnibus/pull/296 , to Ruby 2.4.9 this morning.
See https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2019/10/02/ruby-2-4-9-released/
Would be awesome to get this in before the EOL'ing of Sensu Core if possible.
Closing as Sensu Classic reached EOL.
Looks like https://github.com/sensu/sensu-omnibus/blob/master/config/projects/sensu.rb#L43 uses Ruby 2.4.4 which is two versions behind:
Looked at https://github.com/sensu/sensu-omnibus/pull/273 and this seems straight forward.
Related, has the Sensu team looked at bumping the version to 2.5 or 2.6. Looks like https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/ states 2.4 will be EOL'ed soon (per https://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2019/04/01/ruby-2-4-6-released/ we have 1 year after April 19. 2019).
