There is no such reason. we cloud change it to a suitable colour-blind and print friendly colour scheme . Here are some examples of such colour schemes:

So that I can use the same color in the generated graph pdf (the light grey was perfectly invisible on a white background
I still need to reexport the legends in pdf
The legend we are using is not color-blind friendly and lack contrast: "degraded" and "stable" are super close. @i-m-amit is there any reasn why we are using this specific one ?
The legend should be exported as a pdf to help people use our maps
