I narrowed the thickness down to around .003" or less. I am currently investigating steel or delrin for the standard shove knife, and uhmw films for the flexible shove knife
Stainless Steel part My qualms with Stainless steel mainly include machining and cutting hardened steel, which takes FOREVER, which is why I also took a look at delrin.
I took a look at the Harbor Freight tools paint knives. One measures at .002", and would be ideal for the covert/actual shove knife. However, I may want to look at the UHMW parts for flexible shove knives, as the one from Sparrows is .012" stainless steel.
Took a look at this article: https://swiftsilentdeadly.com/how-to-shim-a-door-and-protect-yours/
Credit card standard thickness is .003"
Picked item # 1441T32 from McMaster Carr for shims
Find 2 materials - one for the covert shove knife/standard shove knife, and one for the flexible shove knife.
