Mercurial reported error number 255 #222

I'm using Mercurial with Mac OS X 10.8.3. Simply trying to clone a new repo 
gives this error:

Mercurial reported error number 255:
abort: case-folding collision between 
ofl/merriweather/src/Merriweather-Italic-otf.sfd and 
ofl/merriweather/src/Merriweather-Italic-OTF.sfd

No idea how to fix this. I guess this is a good time to say I've always felt 
using Mercurial for this is nonsense - there should be an easily accessible and 
dynamically updated ZIP file for designers.

Same problem - Windows 7 Pro, Hg 2.6.0 x64
It's apparently a well-known (and long-known) issue with Mercurial and 
case-insensitive file systems that Mercurial has never fixed. The "solutions" 
are fairly arcane.
It's a show-stopper that one cannot really work around, so I recommend raising 
the issue priority to "High"

also, when I launch the first commend, I get this:

warning: googlefontdirectory.googlecode.com certificate with fingerprint

hostfingerprints or web.cacerts config setting)

so, google: please fix all this!

Confirmed fixed for me.
Windows 7 x64, NTFS, TortoiseHg version 2.8
with Mercurial-2.6, Python-2.7.3, PyQt-4.9.6, Qt-4.8.4
