We are always looking for contributors, and documentation is a great place to start - would you like to take care of this aspect of the release process?
The generation of the changelog is something that should be automated and is not what I'd consider user developed documentation which someone could contribute to.
I am not familiar with github or gradle so cannot offer to "rtake care of the release process" , but I venture to say you are doing something wrong or missing a step in your release procedures.
Your github repo shows the "latest release" tag tied to v1.1.37-rc.5https://github.com/serenity-bdd/serenity-maven-plugin/releases/tag/v1.1.37-rc.5. That's clearly not correct. as htere are about 230+ releases since then.
I'd be asking what changed in your release procedures after v1.1.37-rc.5https://github.com/serenity-bdd/serenity-maven-plugin/releases/tag/v1.1.37-rc.5.

Either update the CHANGELOG.md or remove it please. Would be nice to see, in descriptive form, what has changed since last release, but a list of commits/pull requests is a good start.
