Hi, Joni. No worries on the "shallow" question. I feel like in some ways I'll always be "new" to git and R.
Right now Serenity is VERY similar to Radiant, so if you are wanting to use Radiant functionality soon, I would use Radiant instead. Serenity is a very experimental package right now - I'm working on a pretty substantial change to the user-interface, amongst other things. For example, my plan is to have code snippets copied to the R code, like the visualization code, be base R or ggplot2 commands rather than the in-house visualize
function (similar to how R Commander works).
If you are still interested in running Serenity, it has the exact same installation instructions as Radiant right now, so you can follow those instructions, replacing radiant
with serenity
where appropriate.
Hope that clarifies things.
Super thanks for the answer, sorry for the delay. I will have a look soon as I get back to my new computer. Lets keep playing, learning and teaching!
Hi there, how do I run the application and what are they differences on current Radiant package? We also are planning to use Radiant as a business analytics teaching tool.
I am now to Git and R, sorry if the question is too shallow.
Thanks in advance and congrats for the fork version! Joni
