Client-side export data functionality would allow users to create snapshots of
their
data where they are positioned. They would be able to re-import those
snapshots if
their data positions or properties had changed and they wanted to revert to an
earlier
state.
This is distinct from a server-side export data functionality that would be a
useful
tool to serialize out the state of the database into an XML that could then be
versioned, backed up, and reverted to if the content state of the WBC got
corrupted.
