We have a lot of data in CCDB in .pic format.  This can be read by an ImageJ 
BioRad 
plugin reader.  The Fiji package includes this reader.

We would want to see if we can integrate ImageJ with WBC as a pre-processor for 
our 
Slides.  In other words, we would want images to come into WBC from an outside 
source, be processed by ImageJ, and then be rendered onto Quads in the 3D 
environment.  This may also be an opportunity for us to investigate handling 
scaling 
images down to 512x512 better and to handle other file formats better, as we 
are 
seeing in issues like issue 203
