Request for a button to "start" the action from the menu. #36

Hi @sergiokas ,

I use over 75 extensions, so it's hard for me to remind which icons is for which extension in the chrome menu when I need it.

So I use Extensity and write few letters about the extension and I find what I want quickly BUT I have to remind the Icon and going back in the Chrome menu (or toolbar) to click on the Icon.

What I'd like if it is possible is to have another button directly in the Extensity menu where I could click and the "action" of the extension would be triggered. The icon for this could be a small "hammer" :hammer: to show the purpose.

It would be especially useful for the extension that display information in a new tab.

Do you think it's feasible ? 🤔

Thanks for this very useful project :octocat:

"action" of the extension would be triggered

There is not programmatic way to trigger this.

The Chromium dev team has explicitly said they will not enable this functionality.

The philosophy for browser and page action popups is that they must be triggered by user action.

Alternative - Each extension can have a hot-key (keyboard key shortcut) to open browser action aka popup.

There is nothing Extensity can do for this.

@mikhoul If you don't mind, could you mention some of the 75 extensions that you use? Just curious to see if some of those extensions could help me.
