WiFi Direct mode instead of Ad-hoc mode? #120

I wonder if there's been any thought given to using WiFi Direct instead of Ad-hoc mode. I'm sure there's pros/cons. I'm a developer and could help out, if given some direction.

I think someone did work out what we needed to make it work, but it's not really a replacement for adhoc. It's just a different way to setup a hotspot. One device turns into an AP, and other clients can connect to it. But you can't create a true mesh with it.

I mean, it exists so we should support it. But it hasn't been our priority.
