Summary Investigate alternative reporting tools to Birt. Decide for one Reporting tool, based on its characteristics and modernity.

Details The Eclipse Birt Reporting Engine is used in OSCM for generating reports. As it is not state-of-the art (for example it is not responsive or mobile-friendly, the layout of the reports looks rather old and monotonous), the purpose of this task is to analyze other available and free Reporting Tools (such as Jasper Reports, and so on), what would be their benefits in comparison to Birt, if they are state-of-the-art and to document the result of this investigation. The investigation could include the implementation costs of switching to another reporting tool. Further tasks must be planned for the switching to another reporting tool.
