main domain name isn't working

I can't connect to my main domain name when I use ISPconfig. During the install I entered the following hostname subdomain.mymaindomain.com

After it installed I added 2 sites for two domains, 2 clients and the dns zone records.

The mymaindomain.com isn't connecting, while the other domain has no problems..

Why is this? Did I do something wrong?

Should I maybe enter just mydomain.com during installation??? Or is that not an issue?!

(Ubuntu 18.04)

Your main domain is probably not connecting because the A record for the subdomain might not be pointing to the IP address of your server.
