HI, I am trying to create epics driver with Basler scA-1390-17gc. I installed Pylon3 in /opt directory. architecture is linux-x86. I cloned the master repository and changed ip in basler.startup file. When I started ./basler.startup file. It shows Exception: Failed to write enumeration value. Enum entry is not writableUnable to initialize driver thread Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getExposure: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getWidth: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getHeight: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getOffsetX: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getGainAuto: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getTriggerSource: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getSize: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getGain: Driver thread is unable to read Unable to read BOC03-DI-CAM1:getOffsetY: Driver thread is unable to read

However if I run PylonviewerApp I am able to see the image.

Please guide me how to start the epics driver.

Hi Avanisho, Please try the following:

  • Use the attached database instead of the one you cloned. It is more recent.
  • Make sure the NIC card you're using to receive the images supports GigE (Jumbo frames), as recommended by Basler.
  • The driver was developed for the acA1300-gm camera. No effort was made to accommodate all Basler cameras. I'll try to update the driver to isolate the error you're getting. Most likely it has to do with a functionality that is not available in your camera.

Please try the first two points and let me know what happens.
