incorporate updates from adrian_reliabilitylab_rundown.pdf as a PR

[x] Fix script inconsistencies
[x] Fix notation VPC-ID VPC_ID inconsistencies
[ ] region consistency

Fix notation VPC-ID VPC_ID inconsistencies

Was I thought that was mostly work in the docs. Was there also work in the scripts too that you did here?
