What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. when press "disconnect" and press home button, the screen freeze.
2. press the power button to close the screen, then open it again. iPad is back
to normal.
3. Sometime it needs to shutdown the iPad and restart.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm using btstack mouse 1.6.4, iOS 5.1.1.

does it only freeze after you press the Home button?

does it always freeze?

do you mean with "freeze" that you cannot control your device with your fingers
anymore and also the HOME button doesn't work anymore?

Yes, freeze means I cannot control the device with my fingers.

I test it in 2 ways:
1. Go into the app, press disconnect and then press the "home" button, freeze.
2. Turn off the bluetooth of the mouse, DON NOT go into the app(btstack mouse),
the iPad keeps in normal whatever I do. Once I go into the app, and then
"home", freeze.

Solution: press the power button to turn off the screen, turn it on again.

Big problem: I need to RESTART the iPad if I use btstack mouse with roqyBT
"Automatic pairing" on.

Actually, there is no problem when I use btstack mouse, the problem happens
when I try to quit it(press "home" button).

hi. as you've mentioned roqyBT, could you please try BTstack Mouse again after
removing roqyBT to see if the problem comes from using both.

Also, can you explain what "roqyBT automatic pairing" does?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
OK. I'll test it later.

BTW, "Automatic pairing" is one of the configurations in roqyBT. If enabled,
roqyBT will be turned on automatically by an app that needs bluetooth, such as
an GPS navigation app.

royqBT uninstalled, problem still exists.

no good idea really. let's try fishing in the dark. could you delete
/Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/MouseSupport.dylib ? this will remove
the actual mouse but I'm curious to see if the freezing on disconnect & home
still happens.

Hi, Matthias, thanks for your job.
Today I've just downloaded your app from Cydia for the first time and
experienced a freeze.
I haven't connected a mouse yet, but allowed the app to search for available
gadgets. When I tried to stop the process by closing the app (that gripping
gesture, you know), I got a freeze. And a deep one, I should say, as only
reboot so far could return me control over my iPad.
Note: I am currently using iPad 3G 64Gb (under iOS 5.1.1).
It would be really cool if you could look into that issue, as I was going to
run iDos on my device with mouse support from your wonderful app.

UPD: Interesting enough... After several experiments I've noticed that the app
freezes iPad only after that "gripping", but NOT after pressing Home button or
switching apps with four-fingers left-right swipe. However, BTStack Mouse
crashes on my device when I perform a bottom-up swipe with four fingers.

Regards,
Alexander.

thanks for explaining how you got it to crash. I've never used the multitasking
gestures (and since we have a daughter I even disabled them as she was
constantly using it with all her little fingers). I get a total UI lock-up when
doing the pinch, too. that's very weird/irritating btw.

Glad I could help a bit. I've tested your app with iDos - it does work, though
it is a bit weird to manipulate two cursors - yours and emulated by iDos.
Therefore arises a bit silly question - is there a way to hide black system
cursor? )
P.S. Sorry for a bit of off-topic ^^

Hi,

same problem here. Did you find any solution?

Thanks!

I am doing some tests. I get a black screen and my ipad is freeze when I use
multi-gesture options on BTStack apps. If I try to minimize or change the app
with four fingers, I get a black-screen and I need to restart the iPad. If I
minimize the app's with the home button, it works well.

Is this a normal behaviour?

Thanks!

Regards.

That's pretty weird. I've got a solution for you guys. I've release BTC Mouse &
Trackpad about two weeks ago.

Check it out: http://ringwald.ch/cydia/mouse

It's a new, better mouse driver and multitasking gestures work as expected.
