Hey sewpafly,

your plugin is allready a killer feature. But if it will work with NextGen gallery it would be even more useful. Because a lot of user wich are dealing with pictures are switching to nextgen because mediathek is too clumsy. Maybe it is not that hard to adapt it to nextGen. Then its possible to spread it in the forums to all the "different thumbnail size" - threads to get it tried and famous.

I really trust in you. Maybe I will help, if I find some time...

Hey Robert, thanks for your kind words. I'm not familiar with the NextGen plugin, but I'll look into it.

So, the NextGen plugin is using it's own system to upload and manage images and thumbnails. There isn't any overlap with wordpress's own features, so I don't think that it would be a good match with Post Thumbnail Editor.
