major refactor #111

break apart code into modules (could use more work)
start using webpack
create minified bundles for production

I think we're just waiting on review to be sure that nothing major is broken. The intent is to use this structure going forward

@thfield Hey, I got the project up & running with npm; webpack: Compiled successfully but I'm not seeing the site at localhost:8080. Am I missing something?
