Feature Request: View Event Details #14

Really enjoying the app. One feature request, I would love to be able to click on an event and see more details about the event (notes, location, invitees, etc). Even if this were to open calendar.app to the event, that would be fine.

nirajd commented 8 years ago

I was going to ask for just the location to be added to the current listings of events. Maybe on hover.

sfsam commented 8 years ago

@nirajd If you hover over the event in the agenda, a tooltip with the location will appear.

nirajd commented 8 years ago

I see a hover on the date itself (on the calendar part), but not on the event itself in the list

sfsam commented 8 years ago

If the event has its location field filled in, you will see the location in a standard macOS tooltip when you hover over it in the agenda. If the location field wasn't filled in, there won't be a tooltip. There is a slight delay before the tooltip shows up. screen shot 2016-08-21 at 12 37 55 pm

You're right. Thanks. I just didn't realize because it is ultra sensitive to any movement. I guess I just don't have steady hands

This does not work for all type of events. The Events from a exchange server have no detail in Itsycal but the calendar app.

As an enhancement, would it help to add this as a preference?

For example, under the "General" preference, add an option for "Click to open calendar". When enabled, clicking would open the default calendar app.

(As an aside, if the default calendar app is Outlook, then that would open Outlook, and close issue #62)

In our company description usually contains a link to Zoom meeting etc.

I'd really love to see description in info popover. At the moment it shows almost the same info as in the list + repeat and full dates. If description could be added as a scrollable field with some max-height I'd be more than happy (open regular Calendar would become a really rare case)!
