Manuscript search for title term "Scraps" #160

What isn’t working as expected on the website?

When I enter the term "Scraps" into the search field for manuscripts, I expect a result for Beinecke Osborn c481 with the title "Select and Miscellaneous Poems, Scraps, Mottos &c." but I get no results. I have tried with lower- and upper-case "s" and with a comma at the end. No luck

Please try a search for "scraps" with the quotation marks included. The quotation marks indicate the search term is a call number or a title.

This is how I understood https://github.com/sfu-dhil/mvm/issues/116 for using quotes for title searches.

Ok, thanks for this. I think that works, but we need to update the instructions under the search line then. The second sentence currently reads: To find specific manuscripts by call number, all of the call in quotation marks (e.g. "M.b.23"). There's actually some kind of typo with the statement - it should read: To find specific manuscripts by call number, PLACE PART OR all of the call NUMBER in quotation marks (e.g. "M.b.23"). Obviously you wouldn't use the caps, but I want to highlight the missing words, and the bold function doesn't seem to work. So now, to indicate that we want title words in quotation marks as well, please change this sentence of the instructions to read: To find specific manuscripts by call number OR TITLE, PLACE PART OR all of the call NUMBER OR TITLE in quotation marks (e.g. "M.b.23" OR "POEMS"). So the finished sentence without the caps would read: To find specific manuscripts by call number or title, place part or all of the call number or title in quotation marks (e.g. "M.b.23" OR "Poems"). Thank-you!
