Failure to log in: Error code 5078 #27

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When I start the Excel connector by selecting "sforce query wizard", I put
my security token and password in, which I know to be correct, and it errors
out, with a "failure to login" message, error reference 5078.

I'm using Professional Edition, Outlook 2007, Firefox browser.

Please provide any additional information below.

I got it to work. But now my issue is: I have activities from a separate Excel
spreadsheet in text form, "Made a call to Jim at xxxx" that I want to import
into either the Account or Lead Activity History. I'm not updating, so I cannot
map to an activity ID. I'm trying to use the Account ID and Lead ID to map the
activity, to no avail. Any help momentously appreciated.

Mine was stupidity. I mixed up the order of USERNAMESECURITYKEY. It is not easy
using this tool, but it really works. One must just spend time with it.
